What does every garden show need? That's right, more astroturf.

A British man's ingenuity with astroturf has been rewarded by the Royal Horticultural Society.
It all started at the end of April, when Twitter user Rob Dickens decided to astroturf his window boxes.

Then, on Sunday, he shared his subsequent exchange with the submissions office for the RHS Chelsea Garden Show.

If only there were a "made our day" category in every competition.
Mashable reached out to the RHS, who confirmed the emails were genuine. They say Rob will be contacted in July with details about how to make a formal application for 2019, and will be notified towards the end of the year regarding whether the application was successful.
