An incredibly poor use of a Sunday.

Ever one of our worst people, Donald Trump Jr took some time out of his weekend to mock Christine Blasey Ford, the professor who came forward with sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

On Sunday, Don Jr posted a meme on Instagram with the caption "Judge Kavanaughs sexual assault letter found by Dems." The attached image is a piece of notebook paper that says "Hi Cindy, Will you be my girlfreind? [sic]" with options to check "yes" or "no."

In short, it compares Ford's disturbing account of Kavanaugh's behavior (which allegedly occurred when the nominee was 17 years old) to an elementary school crush. Trump, Jr. does not have a particular reputation for treading lightly around sensitive subjects, nor for being on the right side of history even a single time. But this is a new low, even for him.

He also can't seem to post a joke that makes sense -- here, for example, he implies that Kavanaugh's transgression was some sort of written correspondence ("sexual assault letter"), which is extremely stupid.

But then, what did we expect? This is the same person who did that Skittles socialism tweet.

UPDATE: Sept. 19, 2018, 3:39 p.m. ET Congrats to Arizona senator Jeff Flake, who has spoken out about Don Jr.'s disgusting Instagram post four days late. Brave!
