It's bobsled time!

The Jamaican women's bobsled team made their Olympic debut on Tuesday, becoming the first women's team from Jamaica to take part in the competition.

Teammates Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian and Carrie Russell had a tough time making it to the games after losing their coach, sponsors, and sled shortly before the competition. However, with some help from the Jamaican beer company Red Stripe, the team was able to secure a sled and make it to the Olympics.

The duo even named their sled "Mr. Cool Bolt" after Olympic medalist Usain Bolt and the 1993 Disney film Cool Runnings, which was inspired by the men's team at the 1988 Winter Olympics.

“A lot of people know of bobsleigh because of the movie Cool Runnings and Jamaica making that launch in 1988 and really pushing bobsleigh with their popularity,” Fenlator-Victorian told Reuters.

"But we’re also humbled and honored to be compared to those men that started and fought so hard to represent Jamaica," she said.

According to NBC Olympics, the bobsled team completed their first run on Tuesday in 51.29 seconds in 17th place. The team finished off their final two runs on Wednesday, finishing 19th out of 20.

Despite not taking home the gold, fans continued to cheer on the team with positive vibes and encouragement.

Win or not, the Jamaican bobsled team just made history.
