Seventeen-year-old James Charles broke ground last October when he was named CoverGirl's first male spokesperson. Since then, Charles has been experiencing all of the blessings of sudden fame, appearing on Ellen, starring in commercials with Katy Perry, and expanding his already extensive group of loyal Twitter followers.

Those followers were in for an unfortunate surprise today however, when Charles tweeted and deleted an extremely insensitive tweet about the often deadly virus, Ebola.

The CoverBoy received immediate backlash for his culturally insensitive tweet.

After many users pointed out the model's error calling the continent of Africa, containing 54 countries, a "country," (woof pt. 2), he resurfaced on Twitter to fix his mistake.
