Barack Obama once called Katy Perry one of his "favorite people." Hillary Clinton and Perry take selfies together, and the presidential hopeful included "Roar" on her victory-themed Spotify playlist

Democrats love Katy Perry, and the feeling is clearly mutual. For good reason, too: The pop singer has been very actively supporting democratic candidates over the years, performing at a number of rallies in a number of sparkly America-themed outfits.

She did that again on Wednesday night at a fundraiser for Clinton, where she performed "Unconditionally," reportedly telling the crowd, "I sing this next song for her because I do believe this woman shows unconditional love."

After the show, Perry wore a T-shirt with the words "HILLARY CLINTON IS A BADASS," but that's not even the loudest political statement her wardrobe's made.

Remember when Katy wore a dress with BARACK OBAMA'S FACE ON IT? In case it was ever unclear whether she may possibly vote for John McCain, anyone watching the MTV Europe Music Awards got the message loud and clear: No way in hell.

Following an eight-song set from Elton John, Perry once again dedicated "Unconditional" to Clinton, whom she praised as someone who "looks out for us."

"This election feels very personal to me, and I think it feels very personal to a lot of people here, and I know there’s a lot at stake," she said, according to The Daily Beast. "So I think we need to elect a president that can do all parts of the job, including being commander-in-chief. A person that is strong but also a human… that looks out for us and our needs, our basic human rights and needs, which I can’t believe are still in question in 2016."
