Young bystander offers New York City Marathon runners sound advice about bowel movements

Code brown.

Sometimes it's nice to have a reminder, midway through your 26-mile race, to keep your bowels in check.

A young boy won the hearts of the New York City Marathon runners (and the internet) with his bright, neon sign advising that the best way to finish the race is to not crap your pants.

These are words to win by, especially given that long-distance running and bowel movements often go hand-in-hand.

The little marathon bystander wasn't the only onlooker encouraging runners to hold it in. A woman toting a "Don't poop your pants!" sign was spotted in East Harlem.

If only it were that easy.
