Paleo bro gives outrageous medical advice, Facebook comes for him
Pete Evans is an Australian chef, host of TV show My Kitchen Rules and purveyor of The Paleo Way diet. He's also the guy who just copped a slamming from a medical practitioner on Facebook.
Why? Just the small matter of telling a woman that she should treat her osteoporosis by eliminating dairy from her diet, over a public Q&A on Facebook.
Evans told the woman that dairy removes calcium from your bones which, plainly put, isn't true, and Dr Robinson took the chef to task over it. A poignant reminder that if you have are not a doctor, you definitely should not be telling people how to treat their chronic illnesses.

Speaking with The Herald Sun endocrinologist and medical director of Osteoporosis Australia, Professor Peter Ebeling also blasted Evans for his incorrect advice.
"He shouldn’t be saying these things. It’s really bad and just not true," he told the publication. "The keystone to preventing osteoporosis is adequate calcium intake and this is achieved by three serves of calcium-rich foods like dairy (daily). Dairy is the most easily available source and has the highest calcium content in it," Ebeling said.
Ebeling also added that Evans' comments were irresponsible given his public platform. "He (Evans) has a high media profile and he does have a responsibility but you can’t assume what he says is scientifically correct."
Needless to say, Twitter users were quick to call bullsh*t on Evans' comments, mocking the paleo bro and his proclivity for giving medical advice despite having literally no medical training, certifications, or basic understanding of what osteoporosis is.
