Talk about a downer.

The jig is up, Dratch. Glad you came clean. Comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member Rachel Dratch admitted via tweet to rigging the 2000 election while she was on the show.

As evidenced in the tweet, Dratch clearly owns up to several things over the years, such as her involvement in "hot tub lovers" and Debbie Downer sketches. Most importantly thought, she used her immense political clout and resources to ensure that George W. Bush beat Al Gore for the American presidency, a clear reference to Trump's latest Twitter spree over the weekend.

It seems strange for Dratch to admit to her crimes now, amidst the equally fraught 2016 election, and to not have used SNL or her memoir Girl Walks Into a Bar as opportunities to come clean. Perhaps Dratch's guilty conscience finally caught up with her as she saw her mistakes being repeated.
