Donald Trump blasts 'hit job' on 'SNL' and Twitter happily responds

The Republican nominee for president lit himself a brand-new dumpster fire on Sunday morning when he took issue with Saturday Night Live's latest "hit job," as he called it. Trump was probably referring to the weekend's cold open, which featured Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon in a send-up of the second presidential debate on Oct. 9.
Posting on Twitter, Trump called for the sketch comedy series' cancellation and reiterated his "the media rigged this election" argument -- but stopped short of threatening the show with jail time. He also attacked Baldwin's impersonation, saying it "stinks."

Anti-Trump Twitter took note of the Sunday morning foot-stamping and gamely responded. Apparently, some voters feel that a comedy show's topical jokes are beneath the concerns and complaints of a U.S. presidential candidate.
