Businessman Donald Trump has finally accepted rival presidential hopeful Ted Cruz's invitation to have a one-on-one debate.

April Fools!

Cruz — who has been trying to get Trump to debate him as the two battle it out for the Republican nomination — tweeted the fake news Friday morning.

His tweet linked to a YouTube video titled "Donald Trump Accepts Cruz's Debate Invitation" — which ended up being a cruel Rickroll for Trump and the rest of the Twitter users who fell for the gambit.

After a few clips of Cruz demanding a debate, and Trump saying he has no intention to participate in any more debates, the video then begins to play one-hit-wonder Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

Trump — who backed out of a previously scheduled GOP debate in March — has yet to respond to the prank.
