Twitter has gifted all the women -- and all the men -- of its service a special emoji in honor of International Women's Day.

Whenever a user tweets with the hashtag #SheInspiresMe, #WomensDay, #InternationalWomensDay, #IWD or #IWD2017, a custom emoji depicting the Venus symbol appears.

It's not just about today. Over the last year, conversation around women's issues have grown on Twitter. In 2016, there were 25 percent more tweets about "feminism" or "women's rights" than in the year prior, according to Twitter. These statistics were taken from tweets with those phrases in 10 languages.

For 2017, the conversation has only gotten louder. The discussion of these topics has nearly doubled from the same period the year prior.

Here are the top days with mentions of feminism:

Twitter is far from the only social network celebrating International Women's Day and Women's Month. Facebook is hosting a 24-hour livestream event, and YouTube creators are producing videos for the campaign "#HerVoiceIsMyVoice."

On Twitter, the movement is already trending. #International Women's Day and #ADayWithoutWomen were two of the top trends on the network Wednesday early afternoon.

Yet, between the hashtags was a promoted trend for Kong: Skull Island.

While Kong movies traditionally feature a damsel in distress, this version has been heralded, ET reported, for having actress Brie Larson's character actually take charge in the adventure.
