When U2 took the stage at the iHearRadio Awards Sunday night to accept an award, frontman Bono used his time to take a less-than-subtle dig at Donald Trump supporters.

"It's strange to say that there are places in the world where making music is a crime, where you can go to jail for expressing an opinion, where you can get a punch in the face for disagreeing with some politician somewhere," he said. "That could never happen here, could it?"

His sarcasm was palpable. After all, it was only a few weeks ago that a Trump supporter named John McGraw punched a black protester in the face at a rally.
