A Donald Trump supporter who was arrested after video showed him sucker-punching a black protester at a Fayetteville, North Carolina, campaign rally isn't feeling much remorse.

In a brief interview with Inside Edition after the incident, the Trump supporter said the black protester deserved it, adding that "the next time we see him, we might have to kill him."

"Yes, he deserved it," says the man, identified as 78-year old John McGraw, in the video. During the Inside Edition interview, he is wearing the same cowboy hat, clothes and mustache seen in the now-viral video from Wednesday's rally.

"We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization," McGraw said.

McGraw was charged on Thursday with assault, battery and disorderly conduct for striking the protester, according to WRAL.

The local sheriff's office is investigating why police didn't intervene.

It isn't clear if the Inside Edition clip will lead to further charges.

It was not the first violent incident at a Trump rally, nor the first with racial overtones. At a rally earlier this month at the University of Louisville, a female, African American protester was pushed and called racial slurs.

The campaign is also currently under fire after a reporter was thrown to the ground, allegedly by the candidate's own campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who has yet to apologize.

Trump himself at times has seemed to encourage the violence, telling fans he wished he could punch protesters in the face himself and telling the audience he'd cover their attorney fees out if they were ever arrested for doing just that.
