Watch Bon Appétit's Chris Morocco recreate Guy Fieri's weird nachos on taste alone

Guy Fieri's trash can nachos are a disturbing sight to behold. An enormous mound of tortilla chips, beans, carne asada, queso, sour cream and pico de gallo is literally served in a bottomless trash can, which is dramatically lifted when it arrives at your table. (They're served at both of Fieri's El Burro Borracho restaurants in Nevada.)

This week, Bon Appétit's Chris Morocco attempted to recreate this beautiful monstrosity based on a blind taste test — no small task considering the dish has about eight thousand ingredients. But Morocco does an admirable job, creating a reasonable facsimile of a nacho tower that, while not spot-on (nor quite as damp as Fieri's), is definitely something we would eat.

If nothing else, watch the video for the blender queso.
