The 'Flux Gourmet' trailer is a grossly mouth-watering nightmare

This is why going to random house shows is a recipe for horror.

Peter Strickland's reputation as a horror auteur who never ceases to surprise is on full display in the first trailer for Flux Gourmet. His first film since 2018's In Fabric, Flux Gourmet introduces a sound band collective, who merges their musical performance art with culinary aspirations. The fact that their colleague and cameraman undergoes horrific gastrointestinal consequences doesn't seem to bother them in the least.

Visually striking and occasionally gross as hell, the Flux Gourmet trailer is definitely one of the most interesting two-and-a-half minutes a preview has delivered this year.

Flux Gourmet premieres in select theaters and VOD June 24.
