Before she was all over TV representing Donald Trump and presenting laughable "alternative facts," Kellyanne Conway was Kellyanne Fitzpatrick, a Washington, D.C., pollster and apparently aspiring stand-up comedian.

Caught on camera, and doing the rounds online this week, is her short set at a charity event way back in November 1998. Conway, who was then unmarried and known by her maiden name, mixed up '90s pop culture references, political jokes and even an ill-advised bit about child abuse in her cringeworthy set. She ended her routine by breaking out in song for an original number, "I've Got the Pundit Blues."

However, it was all for a good cause at least at the 1998 Funniest Celebrity in Washington Contest benefiting the Child Welfare League of America. Several of Conway's fellow acts were journalists, political insiders, and politicians, including then U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, who now hosts an MSNBC talk show.

The entire event was broadcast on C-SPAN. The Conway portion is above.
