He isn't thrilled, to say the least.

A new clip of Interview with the Vampire Season 3 has been released, showing Lestat (Sam Reid) not only finding out about Louis' (Jacob Anderson) titular interview, but also hearing its readers unfavourably compare him to his love rival Armand (Assad Zaman). Understandably, he is not having a good time.

Renamed The Vampire Lestat, the third season of Interview with the Vampire covers the second novel in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. In the book, Lestat joins an '80s rock band, goes on tour, and recounts his past both before and after meeting Louis.

The television adaptation tweaks a few elements from the novel, moving its events several decades forward judging by the clip's inclusion of video calls and Beyonce references. However, it looks as though we can expect both Lestat's musical inclinations and his on-and-off again relationship with Louis to remain.

The Vampire Lestat premieres June on AMC and AMC+.
