And now she's gone and done it once again with her new single "Perfect Illusion." It's everything you need it to be. It's soulful, dancey, catchy, and the lyrics so relatable that you're certain Gaga knows you personally.
Gaga co-produced "Perfect Illusion" with Mark Ronson, Bloodpop, and Kevin Parker. The song will serve as the lead single from her as-yet-untitled forthcoming fifth solo studio album.
There have been rumors for a while that Gaga would be taking her fifth studio album in a slightly different direction, looking to meld rock and disco with her more typically pop sensibilities. "Perfect Illusion," which clocks in at a tight three minutes, clearly is a step in that direction.
