It's been two years since The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power hit Prime Video, with the huge finale leaving us with all kinds of burning questions.

With Season 2 about to land, the streaming service released a handy recap of everything that happened in Season 1 during the Second Age of Middle-earth. From the revealed true identities of Sauron (Charlie Vickers) and the Stranger (Daniel Weyman) to the epic horsey adventures of Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and Isildur (Maxim Baldry), the unbridled violence of Adar (Joseph Mawle), and the earnest diplomacy of Elrond (Robert Aramayo), there's a lot to remember.

Mashable's Belen Edwards also has a handy guide to the people and places of The Rings of Power, so you'll be all caught up for the second season.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 premieres Aug. 29 on Prime Video.
