As a result of this overwhelming turnout, MySpace has chosen to reopen auditions -- they closed yesterday -- on Wednesday, April 28 at 12 p.m. PT through Thursday, April 29, at 11:59 a.m. PT.
Anyone who has ever dabbled in acting/cattle calls can tell you that 28,000 people turning out for an audition is a big deal -- that's a lot of potential tears. This isn't the first time we've seen online auditions, but the scope of this particular event speaks to the popularity of the show as well as the effectiveness of the campaign.
If you're a singer/actor between the ages of 16 and 26, you can surf on over to MySpace tomorrow and submit your audition by uploading a prerecorded video or choosing from a selection of MySpace Karaoke Glee hits on the Glee Auditions Official MySpace Page. At present, the page is down due to maintenance, but should be live again once auditions reopen.
