NEW YORK -- Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, you can never be too old for toys.
With the 2016 International Toy Fair in town this weekend, Mashable was treated to a preview of some of the hottest, most innovative toys we’ll see all year.
Thanks to the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, there’s a whole new assortment of geek-worthy toys from the franchise, from a life-sized BB-8 droid to a series of Lego kits. Speaking of Lego, the new Doctor Who set is unquestionably awesome, too.
Barbie made headlines last month for announcing three new body types (curvy, petite and tall) for dolls later this year, but we were also blown away this weekend by something we weren’t at all expecting: a Barbie smart home dreamhouse.
Coupled with advancements in kid-friendly drones -- ones you can even talk to -- and a virtual reality headset that takes you inside an art farm, it’s clear 2016 is looking bright for the kid in all of us. Let’s take a look at our top toy picks from the show so far:
