Disney-themed engagement photos frequently straddle a very fine line between sweet and smarmy. But this engagement photo session for a 101 Dalmatians fan and her fiancé falls firmly on the side of sweet and original.

Imgur user Tony Collier -- who goes by tcollier2 online -- shared these photos of a shoot he and fiancée Corinne Jones commissioned from her cousin Melissa Biggerstaff of Rusty Lion Art. The couple recreated the meet-cute scene from Disney's 101 Dalmatians, in which the human protagonists Roger and Anita first meet and fall in love.

"I...have always loved that Roger and Anita were not the typical fairytale," Jones told Mashable in an email. "They were believable characters who didn't just come together merely by wishing on a star and casting a magic spell."

The couple enlisted family for help on the day of the shoot, where their mothers assisted in doling out dog treats and Jones' brother doused the couple in water for their big scene.

The resulting photos are an enchanting homage to the original 1961 film, with period-appropriate clothing and custom felt hats.

The couple's dogs Mookie and Izabelle even stood in for Pondo and Perdita, the film's canine protagonists. This is what commitment looks like.
