We all know that YouTube comments are a receptacle for garbage people. But it's still hard to not let those comments sting.

In an effort to take a stand against bullies and haters, one 11-year-old YouTuber named Logan enlisted his father to help him make a video about the online comments he had received.

In the video, Logan sits and reads aloud from a list of actual negative comments made about him.

"He looks like such a stupid fatso."

"I hope that he dies."

"Big fat swine."

Throughout the entire video, Logan reads the comments in a slow, deliberate pace, even though it's clear that the words are hitting their mark. But, after reading through a slew of remarks that would be despicable to say to anyone, let alone a child, Logan has an admirable amount of poise.

"I hope that people don't bully other people online anymore," says Logan at the end of the video. "People that have been bullied: don't let these words affect you."

Logan's dad, Josh Fairbanks, posted the video and wrote a special note about his son in the caption: "Logan asked me to do this. As his dad I was very hesitant but he insisted that if there was a chance it could help someone then why not face his online bullies and try. I hope one day I have as much courage as he does."

While it's heartbreaking to see a kid read such ugly comments about himself, Logan's reaction to the hatred is an important reminder to take these cowardly remarks in stride — and not stoop to their level.
