Not sure how, but we were somehow coerced into dabbling with audio: Hewlett Packard is providing these sponsored audio players to certain blogs for a few weeks (turn off your adblockers to see it). I whipped up a quick summary of the stories from the week: see notes below the player. No plans to make this a regular feature, you'll be glad to hear. ;)

MONDAY

LonelyGirl15 - is dead. Long live LonelyGirl15.

YouTube Class Action - Folks are piling on against YouTube in the class action lawsuit.

RockYourFirefox - Firefox meets Facebook.

TUESDAY

Clipmarks-Forbes - Possible acquisition?

Kaboodle-Hearst - Confirmed acquisition of the social shopping site.

Spock - Interesting new people search engine.

WEDNESDAY

Pickle.com - Acquired by Scripps. Presumably for the technology, and not the tiny userbase.

Google News Comments - Google News added comments for those involved in the story. They're going to moderate these.

THURSDAY

Google Shared Storage - Buy extra storage for Gmail and Picasa.

SkyDrive - Microsoft's cloud storage generates buzz.

Fancast - Comcast's new Internet Movie Database (IMDB) wannabe.

FRIDAY

Edgeio - Launches paid content widgets.

Google Video - Announces via email to users that it will shut down the paid videos service. Users will be refunded in Google Checkout credit (intial reports we that a mere $2 were being given to each user, but it transpired that these people had only spent $2 in the store).
