This tech startup wants to bring your manicure to life.

Metaverse Makeovers launched a new feature in its MM Nails app on Wednesday that captures live 3D videos of your nails and sends them to your friends.

The hologram function in the free iOS app lets users add animations to images of their nails (think fireworks, sparkles and dancing animals). They can also save the videos and share them on social media; friends don't need to have the app to view your cooky creations.

"Virtual GIFs pop from the surface of our fashion nails," Thea Baumann, CEO of Metaverse Makeovers, told Mashable. "3D emoji fly out of your fingers."

But creating sharable hologram nail art will cost you. The hologram feature only works with Metaverse press-on nails, though, which range from $22.50 to $34.50 on mm.nails.com. If you want a full variety of 3D options, you'll also have to purchase additional animations within the app.
