Photographers Santiago & Mauricio have created 20-inch 3D-printed dolls based off real-life model Lindsey Wixson.

This doll was styled in clothing based directly on the Fall/Winter 2015 collections of designers like Prada, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and Saint Laurent.

In order to create a lifelike doll, Wixson was scanned with 3D technology, her likeness created using a resin printer. It took a year to perfect Wixson's unique features but only four weeks to complete the outfits.

The photographers teamed up with Wixson's modeling agency The Society Management, which represents Kendall Jenner and Adriana Lima, custom doll creater AY collective, stylist Charlotte Stockdale and 3D technology studio Fauxograph.

This was the first time the AY Collective outfitted a full wardrobe for a “real life model” doll.

“The point is never to be exact -- it's to make the look recognizable,” Andrew Yang, one half of the AY Collective tells Mashable. “Daniel (the other half of AY Collective) and I worked in the spirit of a true editorial shoot and sewed many of the looks directly onto Lindsay during the shoot, in between hair, makeup and posing.”

Renowned wig hair stylist Thanos Samaras created wigs to go with each of the eight fashion looks, also matching the hair pieces the enamel paint, nail polish and air brush makeup designed by artist Ralph Siciliano.

"Designing makeup looks for a doll was one of the most fun yet challenging projects I've worked on," Siciliano explains to Mashable. "There is little room for error. On a doll, once the product is placed, it doesn't move and you can't erase and start over. My inspiration for the looks came from observing the wardrobe and hair designs. I treated the whole process like any other photo shoot."

The limited edition doll will have a website, modollproject.com, set to launch later in September.
