And the soundtrack to your college experience is just as important as whatever it is you're actually doing, whether it's finishing your paper at 7 a.m. or sidestepping puddles of vomit at the nearest frat party.
Spotify combed through listener data from its student deal program to compare how students from different universities around the country listen to music. Among their findings, they found that listening at Cornell University spikes at 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., students at the University of Alabama listen to country music at twice the average rate, while University of Washington students are the biggest fans of long, instrumental music.
