At Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the annual gaming conference that took place in Los Angeles earlier this week, the unveiling of Sony's new PlayStation 4 dominated the gaming news cycle.
In addition to fanfare surrounding the much-hyped console, however, there were also several mobile-game announcements and launches this week: A popular Facebook game arrived on mobile, while a well-known social-gaming company launched an action-packed MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena). What's more, some of our beloved movie and television characters made appearances in a few Android and iOS games.
