5 Biggest Computer Viruses of All Time

The first ever computer virus, the Morris Worm, infected around 6,000 computers 25 years ago, causing unprecedented havoc.

But that was just the beginning. Since then, millions of computers around the world have been infected by other viruses, or worms -- malicious computer programs that spread out of control.

The interactive graphic below, put together by Internet security firm Norton, details the five biggest viruses of all time, from the one that briefly halted freight traffic in Washington, D.C., to the one that started with a seemingly innocent email labeled, "I Love You."

The interactive infrographic below tells the story of Mydoom, Sobig.F, ILOVEYOU, Code Red, and Slammer, how much damage they caused, how many computers they infected, and how fast they spread.
