Join Us in 5 Minutes of Internet Silence for Sandy Hook Victims

Every one of us has been touched by the horrific events one week ago today in Newtown, Connecticut.

To honor the memory of those lost, Mashable, along with thousands across the web, is joining the Web Goes Silent campaign and Causes.com in Five Minutes of Internet Silence. We encourage all of you to join us by not Tweeting, posting to Facebook, emailing or texting for five minutes, starting at 9:30 AM ET.

Mashable will also refrain from updating its homepage for those five minutes.

If you would like to signal your support for this movement online, use this hashtag, #momentforsandyhook, up until 9:30 AM ET.

Here are ways you can help those affected by the Sand Hook Elementary tragedy.
