That wise man, Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, is now broke -- he filed for bankruptcy on Monday. Miraculously, he's still alive.
He may still take you to the candy shop. He may let you lick that lollipop. But you'll have to pay for it.
Just last year the rapper was featured in Forbes as the fifth most-wealthy artist in hip hop. But we didn't need Forbes to tell us that. In almost all of his songs, 50 Cent brags about his "dough" at least once -- we all know the rapper is anything but modest.
