7 Quick Food Hacks For the Lazy Pinterest Browser

Pinterest can fill your screen with a never-ending stream of food porn.

Scrolling through the seven-layer rainbow cakes and sugar-crusted apple pies can give you dangerous ideas, like trying to create one of the culinary masterpieces yourself. As PinterestFail has taught us, in the real world, your Cookie Monster cupcakes will frighten children, and your bunny rolls will bloat and burn.

For the all non-chefs out there -- the people using their ovens for extra storage who wouldn't make it a week without a microwave -- there are a few easier ways to get close to the Pinterest dishes you covet. They won't be pretty or gourmet, but they'll be quick. And when you've spent the last three hours drooling over food blogs, that's what you're really looking for.

1. Peach Cobbler

A delicious piece of homemade peach cobbler sounds amazing, but there's all that measuring and stirring, and Game of Thrones is on in 10 minutes.

To speed up the process simply warm up a toaster strudel and stick it on top of a bowl of canned pre-sliced peaches.

2. Fruit Popsicles

What a beautiful frozen treat. And it could be yours just as soon as you slice (and maybe buy) the fruit, then run down to Bed Bath and Beyond for the molds and sticks.

Or you could put a banana in the freezer. It'll still be cold, fruity and hand held.

3. Heart Chocolates

With just a couple of ingredients, a stove, a candy thermometer and a mold, you could create little heart-shaped chocolates for your loved ones.

You could also take a slightly squished mini candy bar, and present it in the dark.

4. Cinnamon Roll

A handmade cinnamon roll might be what you're craving, but what if what you're looking for is a little simpler, a little more literal?

Just warm up a buttery store-bought dinner roll, and dip it in a bowl of cinnamon sugar.

5. Pancake Faces

If you're having a kid-friendly breakfast, you could whip up some pancake batter, then break out the fruit and candy to give them faces.

But maybe you're more of a microwave person.

In that case, zap some frozen pancakes and give them names, personalities and life stories. Soon they'll see a face on their breakfast through the power of suggestion.

Jello shots are so simple to make. Just throw the mix and some vodka together, chill and they'll be ready to eat tomorrow.

But what if you need a combo of gelatin and alcohol right now?

Grab a ready-made snack pack, and follow each spoonful with a sip.

7. Cookie Cups

A cookie baked in its own cup is adorable, portable, full of cookie goodness -- but sadly, it still involves baking.

Microwaving a Chips Ahoy, however, hardly involves even stepping foot into a kitchen.
