Twitter: easy to love, easy to clone. The first startup a young, aspiring web developer might want to try and build will probably be some version of Twitter, which can clearly be seen from all the local/regional Twitter clones we're encountering every day. Some are awful, but some are quite good; we bring you a small sampling of what's out there in the world of Twitter clones!

And for those of you on the traditional Twitter, follow the Mashable crew as we mock each other talk serious business on our accounts.

Feecle.jp - A Japanese site that has the same basic premise as Twitter, but, as with most things Japanese, it has a very different design aesthetic.

Frazr.com - A German/French Twitter clone. While it does have a bit of a resemblance to Twitter, it does serve up some original Ajax in the form of word balloons coming out of the members on the front page as you hover.

Komoo.cn - Is "Komoo" Chinese for "Twitter"? It sure looks like Twitter. A white halo around the name, those weird blue blue bubbles on the background. Unfortunately, by the end of this text you'll see that this kind of blatant plagiarism is a common occurence.

Numpa.nl - Numpa differs from Twitter design-wise, but it has the same basic feel. The fact that someone went berserk with a Web 2.0 button maker doesn't help, though.

Oseflol.com - Well, what can you say about this site from France? At least they changed the color of the blue background and logo? Awfully kind of them.

Robisz.pl - This clone hails from Poland, and beyond a few color changes, it's pretty much an exact copy. Too bad they went with such poor colors.
