San Diego Comic-Con isn't the only convention for science fiction-loving geeks. Every year at the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), fans from across the globe gather to talk about the books, movies and TV shows they love. And (of course) to show off their amazing costumes.
Some attendees just dress up for fun, but many of the best costumes end up on stage at the Masquerade, a geeky pageant/runway show where con-goers compete at three skill levels: Novice, Journeyman and Master. Each entrant is judged on both workmanship (craft and skill) and presentation, making for a fun evening for the costume-obsessed.
