I wasn't sure what to expect going into the conversation with Bobby Fishkin, in talking about ReFrameIt. The service is still in a bit of private testing, and while it has remained fairly constant in it's overall thrust, has gone several code overhauls as it's being readied for general public consumption. The idea was inspired by Bobby's unique experiences from when hehad the opportunity to look at copies of masterwork texts that had notes scribbled in the margins by thought leaders from the last couple centuries.

The fact that re-reading the text of, say, Shakespeare in the context of what Charles Darwin had to say about him in the margins radically changed the meanings of the phrases originally penned caused Bobby to consider how he could update Internet functionality with the features already inherent in the 5000 year old medium of print on page.

We discuss the intricacies of making this concept work as well as the future of the technology in today's Mashable Conversation.
