An abandoned chihuahua puppy born without front legs has gained a forever home and a pretty rad set of new wheels.
Someone left Daffodil in a soggy cardboard box near a bustling San Francisco intersection, according to the SF SPCA. Apparently, several people walked by the poor pup and did nothing, while one guy had the nerve to pick her up and put her back down after noticing she lacked front legs.

But then came a passerby identified only as Jene in an SPCA post about the pup.
“I just couldn't believe what I was seeing — why would anyone do that? Pick up the puppy, and then put her right back in the box?” he said, according to the blog post.
Jene wrapped the small pup in his t-shirt and brought her to the SF SPCA, where veterinarians worked with a company called OrthoPets to make her an ultra-cool, custom set of prosthetic wheels.

But the aww-inspiring story doesn’t end there. It gets better. Over the months it took for the prosthetic to be built, an Orthopets staff member named Olivia fell in love with the pup, now named Daffodil, through pictures and videos (after all, who wouldn’t?) and flew in from Colorado to adopt the playful pup and give her a forever home.

Now, little Daffodil is loving life and skating around her new home, all “because some people see value and love and potential and best friends — even in a broken little dog," the SF SPCA wrote.
