It is a problem that is still beyond repair in Australia: women wearing activewear when they are not being active.

From shopping centres to beachside cafes, no one is safe from the grips of this ghastly epidemic.

One group of female comedians have taken the matter into their own hands, and made the perfect tune to complement your daily non-active grind. ACTIVEWEAR is the song of a generation.

Its film clip is directed by Christaan Van Vuuren -- one half of the iconic Bondi Hipsters -- who also co-wrote the tune. The comedians behind the brilliant track are three hilarious Aussie chicks, known as Skit Box.

The trio, Adele, Greta and Sarah, told Mashable Australia via email they came up with the song because they are activewear wearers themselves. Gulp.

"Why wouldn’t ya? It's comfy, practical, and makes your butt look great plus it's a great way to look fit and healthy without actually doing anything ... conducting your daily business in your activewear gives the appearance that you're a lot fitter than you are. Perception is 9/10ths reality!" they wrote.

The comedy troupe advised the women of Australia to ignore the haters and activewear like they have never activewear'd before.

"Who cares if you havent used your platinum fitness first membership in 7 months? You’re still a go getter -- in your activewear. Who cares if you get a stitch walking up one flight of stairs? You’re still fit as a fiddle -- in your activewear. Who cares if you demolish a double beef and bacon burger hungover on a Sunday morning?? If you wash it down with a fresh coconut -- in your activewear," they mused. Makes sense.
