The world's biggest ad agency shelled out $4 billion on Google alone in 2015.

WPP CEO Sir Martin Sorrell told Business Insider at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting that his ad agency is spending more on Google than any other company (and more than the $2.9 billion WPP spent on Google in 2014.)

What makes this all the more interesting is that WPP and Google have a, well, interesting relationship: Sorrell has famously referred to the tech giant as a "frenemy" and research has shown that Google poses a legitimate threat to the remaining Mad Men-esque advertising agencies like WPP.

Facebook came in as WPP's second most expensive client with spending totals tallying $1 billion. As for millennial and media darling Snapchat? Well, Sorrell says WPP spending on advertising is "much smaller."
