LOS ANGELES -- In what's sure to be the first in a string of music reveals before the Feb. 22 Oscars, The Academy announced Monday that Maroon 5's falsetto-loving Adam Levine will perform "Lost Stars" at the ceremony in Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.

"Lost Stars," from the Begin Again soundtrack, is nominated for Best Original Song against frontrunner "Glory" (Selma) as well as "Everything Is Awesome" (The Lego Movie), "Grateful" (Beyond the Lights) and "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" (Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me).

So...I'll be singing at the #OSCARS!!! Whaaaat??!?!? Thank you @theAcademy! #LostStars— Adam Levine (@adamlevine) January 26, 2015

The three-time Grammy winner starred as musician Dave Kohl, Keira Knightley's character's ex-boyfriend, alongside Mark Ruffalo in the musical dramedy.
