Adam Levine Named People's 'Sexiest Man Alive,' Internet Unhappy

People magazine named Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine the "Sexiest Man Alive" of 2013, dubbing him "cool, confident, seductive."

The Internet begged to differ.

The news broke Tuesday night on NBC's The Voice -- where Levine serves as a celebrity coach -- by host Carson Daly.

The singer reaction by saying, "I feel sexy." The Internet had a decidedly different reaction. The response was a blend of witty and cruel tweets from fans, other celebs and even brands about which stars were robbed of the title and how Levine is more "sexist" and "cocky" than sexy.

Levine joins the ranks of Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt and George Clooney for People's honor. Actor Idris Elba scored runner-up on this year's list, singer Luke Bryan came in third, Jimmy Fallon placed fourth and Bruno Mars rounded out the top five.

Internet, if it makes you feel better, at least Levine likes puppies.
