AdaptiveBlue, creator of the BlueOrganizer Firefox plug-in, has created a new way to share items for the items you can track with its service, including books, music, movies and stocks.

Firefox browser plug in to This new feature lets you share your items with the public, with a SmartLink icon that you can place on your website or blog. Use your BlueOrganizer plug-in to create SmartLinks from items you find online, and place the provided embed code in your website. There are one-click insertion options for Blogger and TypePad. The link appears wherever you want: next to an image or word, etc.

When a site visitor clicks on this SmartLink icon, then a small window appears to offer more information about the item, complete with links to purchase it on Amazon, compare prices at Shopzilla, get more info at Wikipedia, or send it to one of your social bookmarking profiles. In addition, there is the option for site visitors to grab the code and use it on their own website, blog, or social networking profile like MySpace, hi5, or Piczo.

SmartLinks feeds can also be placed on your website or blog, with easy access to SmartLinks to be added to your site as well. Boo-box has used a similar premise for its contextual ads service.
