Adele is sticking to the formula for her third studio album, hinting on Twitter that it will be called 25. As with her debut and sophomore outings -- 19 and 21 -- the number represents the age at which she wrote the songs.

25 will be Adele's first album since 2011, when 21 became the year's best seller, a feat it repeated in 2012. It won six Grammys and became the first album to go double platinum on iTunes in the United States. Adele also had a big 2012 and 2013, lending vocals to "Skyfall," the latest James Bond theme song that earned her a Golden Globe and Oscar.

Adele, who turned 26 on Monday, teased the upcoming musical period piece in a tweet and cryptically wrote it would be released sometime in 2014.
