At one point, Adele's 'Hello' was played on YouTube more feverishly than the 'Star Wars' trailer

Apparently, we were all Star Wars-level excited about Adele's new single.

According to YouTube stats, it took a mere 48 hours for Adele's "Hello" video to be viewed 50 million times. At its peak, the clip was viewed 1.6 million times per hour.

For those keeping track: Yes, that's more than the views-per-hour peak notched by the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which topped out at 1.2 million views per hour and currently has 49 million views on YouTube.

Keep in mind that this accounts for views on YouTube alone -- but the stat is nonetheless impressive.

With more than 92 million views as of this writing and a 1 million views-per-hour average in its first two days, Adele's video stands as one of the most-watched music video debuts of all time on YouTube and the biggest debut of any video in 2015.

Adele could not be reached to comment on this milestone, but we're pretty sure this is what she'd have to say:
