LONDON -- Many of the guests at the O2 Arena travelled a long way to be at the Brits this year - Alan Carr even told presenters Ant & Dec he had to relieve himself in a bottle in the car the journey was so long - but none joined the ceremony from as far away as Tim Peake.
Britain's first astronaut at the International Space Station (ISS) beamed down a message during the event, announcing that Adele was the winner of the Global Success Award.
OH NO BIGGIE. It's only @astro_timpeake from the ACTUAL @Space_Station to present the Global Success Award #spacerocks — BRIT Awards (@brits) February 24, 2016

Adele, meanwhile, got just a little bit emotional when she accepted the award, crying and swearing her way through a segment that broadcasters attempted to censor.
“I cant work out if I'm crying because of that video or because Tim Peake did it” she said. "My kid is going to think I'm so cool."
"You're probably getting fucking bored of me."
“I got really lost for a while," she added while starting to cry. "I didn’t know if I would ever come back. For you all to be so kind to me is so nice.”
