Let's all cry to this tease of a new Adele song, 'When We Were Young'

The season of Adele continues with a preview of the singer's upcoming 60 Minutes Australia interview -- and a snippet of a new song.

In the promo above, Adele discusses her success and her reticence about fame and celebrity. We also get a sneak preview of "When We Were Young," a song that's soaring, beautiful, melancholic -- and classic Adele. Naturally, it's about the pain and fear that come along with growing old and losing grip on the past. The clip features the following lyrics:

This reminds me of when we were young

Let me photograph you in this life, in case it is the last time

So it might be exactly like we were before we realized

We were sad of getting old, it made us restless

Oh, I’m so mad I’m getting old, it makes me reckless

"While We Were Young" proves that Adele doesn't need to sing about romantic love to elicit strong emotion. We should have known.
