Adobe is getting ready to launch an update for Adobe Flash Player 9, which has been given the code name Moviestar. The upgraded player will be available for download here.
This includes H.264 video support as well as High Efficency ACC audio support, which is the same standard used for Blu-ray and HD video players. Utilizing these standards enables HD quality to be extended to the Adobe player for your web video content. This release also includes full screen video playback, and will be incorporated in Adobe's other products, like AIR and applications developed with Adobe AIR software, and Adobe Media Player. The integration with Adobe's Media Player will be an important one, as well as the Creative Suite, which will be used for video creation and such.
