Imagine being removed from society since the mid-1970s, then dropped into a world where you're surrounded by iPhones and Gatorade.

It's the life of New Yorker Otis Johnson, who served 44 years in jail for the attempted murder of a police officer. Johnson, released in Aug. 2014, appears in this video for Al-Jazeera, where he tries to come to grips with modern life.
