With Facebook launching a massive ad campaign to promote Free Basics in India in the last week, net neutrality activitists have found support from stand-up comedy groups such as All India Bakchod, SnG Comedy and East India Company.

The three groups have released videos which question Facebook's claims for Free Basics and explain the concept of net neutrality. They are also asking their followers to email petitions in favour of net neutrality to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, which is inviting comments on its new consultation paper on differential pricing for different data services until Dec. 30.

The third in a series of Save the Internet videos brought out this year, All India Bakchod's "Save the Internet 3" tears into Facebook's arguments in favour of net neutrality.

East India Comedy's one-minute video offer a succinct take on Free Basics and Save the Internet.

SnG Comedy likens Free Basics with the dictatorial relationship between bad Indian parents and their kids.

Music composer Vishal Dadlani also posted a video which describes Free Basics a "scam" on Facebook. Net neutrality activists also also being supported by Reddit, Truecaller and Indian e-commerce platform Paytm.
