We're at peak Star Wars mania here at the Mashable offices as we gear up for the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens later this year. December 18 can't come soon enough!

The latest Star Wars tech toy to land on our desks is the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control X-Wing Starfighter. Unlike the two ground-only BB-8 R/C toys we recently checked out, this foam X-Wing flies in the air.

The X-Wing has propellers inside two of its four thrust engines and controlled with a remote control. Air Hogs claims it can fly up to 250 feet in the air.

Can it do trench runs and blow up the Death Star and save the galaxy? You'll have to wait for our full review coming out soon, but for now, check out our unboxing.
