Travelers who can't get enough of the food only available at 30,000 feet are in luck: There is now a service in Germany that will provide home delivery of airplane meals.

Online German grocery store Allyouneed.com is launching the service -- called Air Food One -- to deliver either a "classic" or "vegetarian" meal once a week.

The grocery store is teaming up with LSG Sky Chefs, the food provider for Lufthansa airlines.

Before you recoil in horror at thoughts of mystery meat accompanied by a stale roll, it's worth noting that the offerings will be of business-class quality. Despite the often bland meals in economy class, airlines actually put some thought into what cuisine they provide to their VIP customers.

Each week, the delivered meal will match the business class menu currently available on planes. Meals are delivered on Wednesdays, and can be frozen until the want-to-be traveler is ready to throw them in the oven. The companies consider it an alternative to takeout.

LSG Sky Chefs are also taking the opportunity to do something with the excess food not consumed by customers in the sky that would usually be thrown out.

Example meals include Arabic seafood and panserotti with porcini mushrooms. Allyouneed.com also includes some images of possible meals on its site.

LSG Sky Chefs provides other non-airline catering, including school catering in Hong Kong.

Air Food One is currently only available in Germany, at a cost of 9 to 10 euros ($11.61 to $12.90) per meal.
